Scope of the contract

  • the estimated number of children aged 5 to 6 years is about 700 per year in about 80 groups with a maximum of 10 children per group
  • consultation hours for teachers of all 25 kindergartens
  • teaching will take place in 25 kindergartens within the scope of the Act no. Prague 10
Expected start date: 1.3.2008
End date due: 30.6.2011

Approved age-appropriate form and methodology of teaching children basic communication in a foreign language

  • Children will have a good foundation for future language learning, will lose the shyness of communication in a foreign language, gain the basics of a standard accent and pronunciation.
  • They will learn to use English in a natural environment and will be able to simply express their needs and wishes.
  • They learn to understand spoken English, learn to be afraid to communicate in a language they do not yet know.
  • They will learn good learning habits and appropriate classroom behavior to develop social skills.
We will develop these skills with children at the same time as teaching the language. We will teach children how to understand the assignment and work on it. They will learn to behave appropriately to the teacher and to each other (e.g. how to share things, how to work together).

Learning objectives are set for each semester, taking into account the knowledge and progress of the children.
