AKCENT International House Prague
AKCENT International House Prague has been a language school since 1990 (formerly AKCENT Language School). Since then, we have grown to be one of the largest private language schools in the Czech Republic employing over 120 people. Our school offers English, German, Czech, Spanish and French Courses. We organize courses for English teachers such as The Cambridge CELTA, ICELT, DELTA, TKT, IHCYL and IH BET1. We also offer methodology courses for pedagogical specialists.
In 2000, the school became affiliated with the International House World Organisation

With more than 122 affiliates in 42 countries, IHWO is one of the most important networks of language schools around the world. The Affiliated Network Department is based in London. 1,000,000 students study English and other languages each year in the schools associated with the IH Network.
All schools are independently owned and managed, but adhere to the same codes of practice and rigorous inspections to ensure they all offer the same high quality education and customer service around the world.

Our Employees
There are more than 140 regular employees working at AKCENT International House Prague. All the teachers have received high methodological education and they are working on broadening their qualification. Strict criteria are also applied in the process of recruitment of both Czech and native teachers. The emphasis we put on theoretical preparation as well as practical experiences exceeds common standards.
We regularly verify the quality of teaching with the help of observations and surveys of satisfaction among our students.
Both complex and specialized projects of our company are coordinated by Course Managers , who work in close cooperation with methodological directors of individual departments.
Czech Association of Language Schools
AKCENT International House Prague is a founding member of Czech association of Language Schools– in 2010 name changed to ACERT – Association of Certified Language Schools.
In 2015 name changed to AJŠ – Association of Language Schools. AJŠ is an independent professional association of companies that deal with foreign language teaching in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the association is development in quality of services in language teaching to the benefit of language schools as well as their students.
