Czech Study Summer in Prague is a 3 week language and culture Czech for Foreigners programme.

It is designed for students of all levels. The Summer Czech for Foreigners course consists of 72 lessons divided into morning and afternoon classes. The morning programme focuses on creating and developing language communicative and grammatical skills. The afternoon programme offers practical language activities, songs, quizzes and games etc.

Teachers:

AKCENT IH Prague has a very high standard of teachers of Czech for Foreigners. All the teachers are qualified and experienced. The whole team benefits from the presence of Lída Holá, the author of “New Czech Step by Step“ and other teaching and methodological materials. Our teachers are members of the Association of Teachers of Czech language and take part in its regular meetings. This means they are kept informed about new trends and materials in Czech for Foreigners.

Levels of knowledge:

Before the Summer Czech for Foreigners course, the students will do our placement test. We can also send it by mail. Based on their results, the students will be divided into corresponding classes.

The Summer Czech for Foreigners Course: 13,655 CZK (covers tuition and an “icebreaker” lunch)
Course fees are given in CZK (Czech Crowns), please use the currency converterto calculate the costs.
Please pay the course fee at least one week before the course starts.
You can pay the course fee in cash in our registration office, by bank transfer or by credit card through payment form

Please fill in the application form. The application deadline is 2 weeks before the summer course begins. If you miss this deadline, please contact us. The school reserves the right to cancel a course 7 days before its commencement if there are fewer than the minimum number of students registered.

Conditions:

The school ensures a good quality of teaching.
The fee can be paid either in cash in the school office, bank transfer or invoice. If the invoice is not paid in time, the student agrees to pay the required sum in cash.
A place on the course is not transferable.
Handicapped people can apply for a discount.
Teaching materials are included in the price of the course.
Taking a placement test is a condition of joining a course.
Returning of the fee:
1. 100 % or the course fee is returned if the school cancels the course.
2. 95 % of the course fee is returned if the student cancels his/her attendance one weekday before its beginning.
3. 80 % of the course fee is returned if the student cancels his/her attendance on the first day of the lessons
4. 50 % of the course fee is returned if the student cancels his/her attendance during the first week of his/her lessons
In case the course is paid for with Sodexho, Unišek or Accor Services vouchers and the student cancels his/her attendance, 10% of the amount paid in vouchers will be deducted from the amount reimbursed.
Enrolment becomes valid on receipt of payment by the school.
The student can be expelled from the school for damaging of school possessions without any substitute.
The school can recommend any student whose behaviour seriously disturbs the teaching to leave the course.
It is forbidden to use mobile phones during the lessons.
The school reserves the right to cancel a course 7 days before its commencement if there are fewer than the minimum number of students registered.
