Exam

Dates of exams and fee

The exam takes place at the Teacher Training Centre of AKCENT International House Prague on the following dates:

• 15/5/2010
• 11/9/2010
•  6/11/2010

The fee for each module is 1,200 CZK, for the whole exam 3,500 CZK (our Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports  accreditation should allow state schools to help their teachers cover the cost).

Course fees are given in CZK (Czech Cowns). If you need another currency please use the currency converterto calculate the costs.

Because the number of candidates for each exam date is limited, we recommend to register as soon as possible. Your place is only guaranteed after paying the exam fee. Registration finishes 7 weeks before each exam date.

Content and Structure


The exam has only a written component and is in English. It consists of 3 independent modules. In each one candidates answer 80 multiple-choice questions. Each module lasts 1 hour 20 minutes, which makes the total of 4 hours for the exam.

Cancellation conditions

Exam

• If you wish to withdraw from the exam more than 7 weeks before the exam, you will be refunded 95% of the exam fee.
• If you decide to withdraw less than 7 weeks before the exam, no refund can be given.
• However, if you cannot attend the exam for medical reasons, you will be able to take it on another future date provided you submit a medical certificate maximum 3 working days after the exam date.

Preparatory Course

• You place on the course is only secured once we have received your course fee.
• If the course is cancelled by the school, you receive a 100% refund.
• If you decide to withdraw from the course more than 2 weeks before the course starts, you will be refunded 95% of the course fee.
• If you withdraw from the course less than 2 weeks before the course starts, you will be refunded 80% of the course fee.
• If you withdraw once the course has started, no refund is given.
