At this time the school offers the following teacher training courses:
The Cambridge CELTA
This course provides speakers of English with initial training in teaching English as a foreign language, and leads to the internationally recognised qualification: the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). The course is also suited to those who are already in the profession, but who have no formal or practical teaching qualification. The courses are validated, and syllabus and assessment criteria are fixed by, the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations
(ESOL – English for Speakers of Other Languages).

The Cambridge CELTA YL Extension
The YL extension to CELTA is intended for those with little or no previous experience of teaching young learners but have been awarded the CELTA.*

The Cambridge ICELT
If you are already teaching English and want to improve your skills in your current working context, ICELT can be an important stepping stone in your career.ICELT is ideal if you are already teaching English in a specific context – e.g. teaching adults or young learners in the private sector, teaching within a university environment, teaching primary or secondary school learners. This qualification can help you to deepen your knowledge and develop your ability to reflect on and improve your teaching.

The Cambridge DELTA
DELTA – Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults
The Cambridge DELTA candidates is designed for teachers who have substantial experience of teaching English to adult speakers of other languages is intended to offer the opportunity to:
- acquire new insights into this area and a deeper understanding of the principles and practice of ELT to adults;
- examine their current practices and beliefs;
apply the results of their learning and reflection to their current professional lives and to circumstances beyond their present and previous teaching experience.

TKT – Teaching Knowledge Test
TKT is a new test about teaching English to speakers of other languages. It aims to increase teachers' confidence and enhance job prospects by focusing on the core teaching knowledge needed by teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners, anywhere in the world. TKT gives teachers a strong foundation in the core areas of teaching knowledge needed in the English language teaching classroom. It is ideal for all teachers, whatever your background and teaching experience, and is also suitable for people who would like to teach English but do not yet have a teaching position.

IHCYL – The International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners
The course's main objective is to introduce trainees to, and help them (re)evaluate and (re)consider the main principles involved in teaching Young Learners English. The course is not designed with one particular age group in mind. Input sessions cover the complete range of young learners (from 3–16 years). The course is validated, and syllabus and assessment criteria are fixed by the International House World Organisation.

IH BET1 – International House Business English Teaching certificate level 1
This course is designed for teachers with little or no experience of teaching Business English. It includes 30 hours of input of which 13 are devoted to Business topics, such as banking, marketing, human resources, and Business skills; 6 hours are given to professional teaching skills, such as lesson planning and analysing students’ needs; and the remaining 11 hours are spent on activities and materials used for teaching Business English. There is no observed teaching practice component, but the participants will be given assignments, on which they are assessed. The course is validated, and syllabus and assessment criteria are fixed by the International House World Organisation.
